In honor of National Donut Day, Papa John’s is giving away a trip to Donut Island, New Zealand. Yes, the pizza chain just managed to one-up all the free donut giveaways happening today.
Anyone who buys donut holes at Papa John’s (you read that right: Papa John’s sells donut holes) from June 2–30 will be entered to win a week-long trip to the donut-shaped island in New Zealand.
In order to win, contestants must purchase their donut holes from papajohns.com or the Papa John’s app.
One grand prize winner will get to take a guest on an eight-day trip to New Zealand with a round-trip flight to Auckland. From there, the winning duo will spend two nights in the country’s most populous city before heading to Donut Island.
Otherwise known as the Whenuakura Wildlife Sanctuary, the island is one of the best kayaking destinations in New Zealand. The winners will paddle their way through a 40-foot cave opening before emerging into an emerald lagoon. Once inside, visitors will get to marvel at the pohutukawa trees and their bright red blooms cascading over the rocky cliffs.
The winners will then continue on to Rotorua (for a movie set tour of locations featured in the Lord of the Rings films), Napier, and Wellington.
There’s no limit to how many times you can enter, so get ready to eat many, many donuts in June.
An additional 10 winners will get free donuts every month for a year as a consolation prize.
The official rules are available on the Papa John’s website.
